HFSE International School Strengthens Global Connections at the 8th Singapore International Cultural Festival

HFSE International School was honoured to participate in the 8th Singapore International Cultural Festival Awards Gala Dinner. The prestigious event celebrated cultural diversity, international friendship, and meaningful collaboration among communities from around the world.

Representing HFSE International School was Ms. Christina Labrador, our school principal, who attended the gala on 2 August 2026 in Singapore. The event brought together ambassadors, distinguished guests, business leaders, educators, and cultural advocates. As a result, it served as a valuable platform for dialogue and partnership.

The evening also highlighted how culture, education, and international cooperation can bring people together. Furthermore, it showcased the importance of building strong global relationships.

Celebrating Diversity Through Cultural Exchange

The Singapore International Cultural Festival continues to promote cultural appreciation and collaboration. In addition, it provides opportunities for individuals and organisations from different backgrounds to connect and learn from one another.

Throughout the evening, attendees celebrated the richness of diverse cultures. At the same time, they recognised the shared values that unite communities across borders.

The event also highlighted Singapore’s role as a multicultural nation. Consequently, participants gained a deeper appreciation of how culture, education, and the arts can foster meaningful connections.

A key message throughout the gala was the power of culture to transcend boundaries. Furthermore, speakers emphasised the importance of preserving cultural heritage while embracing innovation, cooperation, and international partnership.

Why This Matters to the HFSE Community

For HFSE International School, participation in events such as the Singapore International Cultural Festival reflects a strong commitment to international-mindedness and cultural appreciation.

As a Singapore-based international school serving families from diverse nationalities, HFSE believes learning extends beyond the classroom. Therefore, opportunities that celebrate cultural understanding are highly valuable.

These experiences help strengthen relationships with educators, cultural organisations, business leaders, and international partners. In addition, they expose students to broader perspectives and authentic global experiences.

Most importantly, they reinforce the values at the heart of the HFSE educational philosophy. As a result, students learn to respect diversity, embrace inclusivity, and engage positively with the wider world.

Aligning with the HFSE Vision and HAPI Framework

The themes highlighted during the festival strongly align with HFSE’s educational vision and values.

The event’s focus on unity, mutual respect, innovation, and international cooperation reflects the principles that guide the school’s approach to learning. Furthermore, these values resonate closely with the HAPI Framework.

Through the HAPI Framework, HFSE strives to develop learners who are academically capable, compassionate, confident, and globally aware.

Participation in international cultural initiatives supports this goal. In addition, it demonstrates the importance of building connections across cultures and communities.

By engaging with international networks and cultural platforms, HFSE continues to create opportunities for students to become responsible global citizens. As a result, they gain a deeper understanding of collaboration and intercultural awareness.

Reflections from Ms. Tin

Reflecting on the experience, Ms. Tin described the evening as both enriching and inspiring.

The gala created valuable opportunities to connect with individuals who share a passion for education, cultural exchange, and international cooperation. Furthermore, conversations with participants from different sectors highlighted the importance of working together to create stronger communities.

One of the most inspiring aspects of the event was seeing how cultural appreciation can lead to meaningful partnerships. These partnerships can support education, business, technology, and community development.

In addition, the gala reinforced the importance of creating spaces where diverse voices can come together. Through these interactions, participants celebrated shared goals while also honouring cultural uniqueness.

For Ms. Tin, the experience reaffirmed the role of education as a bridge between cultures. Consequently, it highlighted the value of building connections through shared learning and mutual understanding.

Building Bridges Beyond Borders

As HFSE International School continues to grow within Singapore’s international education landscape, participation in events such as the Singapore International Cultural Festival remains important.

These opportunities represent more than institutional engagement. Instead, they reflect a commitment to preparing students for success in an increasingly interconnected world.

Furthermore, they demonstrate HFSE’s dedication to cultural awareness, meaningful partnerships, and lifelong learning.

Most importantly, these experiences reinforce the belief that education has the power to bring people together and create positive change across communities.

Looking Towards a More Connected Future

HFSE International School is grateful for the opportunity to participate in the 8th Singapore International Cultural Festival Awards Gala Dinner and to be represented by Ms. Tin at this significant event.

The evening served as a meaningful celebration of culture, friendship, and international collaboration. In addition, it reinforced the importance of building relationships that promote understanding, inclusivity, and shared growth.

As HFSE continues to nurture globally aware learners and strengthen international partnerships, experiences like these remain essential. Therefore, they help shape a future where cultural diversity is celebrated and meaningful connections continue to flourish.
