The Culture We’re Proud Of: Inside our Staff Development Day 

At HFSE International School, great education begins with great educators and staff. Behind every meaningful classroom experience is a team that is continuously learning, evolving, and growing together. 

HFSE Staff Development Day was a reflection of that belief, a day dedicated not just to professional growth, but to connection, creativity, and shared purpose. 

A Morning of Alignment Through Townhall Dialogue 

The day began with a townhall gathering that brought staff members together from across the school community. This session encouraged open communication and shared understanding, helping team members reconnect with collective purpose. 

During the townhall, school leaders shared key priorities, recognised achievements, and reinforced core values. Staff were also invited to reflect on current practices and align goals that support student wellbeing, development, and academic excellence. 

Creative Connection Through Painting 

The afternoon took a different shape entirely. Each member of the team was handed in a varying set of paints and a single blank canvas. The theme? Seasons. Some canvases were bold and sweeping. Others were delicate, precise, and quietly detailed. A few surprised everyone, including the person holding the brush.  

As members moved around the room and looked at each other’s work, something became immediately clear. What we saw in each other’s canvases was something worth celebrating, a team full of people who each bring something entirely their own.  

Celebrating the HAPI Dream Team 

The spirit of HFSE Staff Development Day reflected the values of the HAPI Dream Team. Collaboration, positivity, and purposeful growth were evident throughout the programme. 

By investing time in professional development and wellbeing, HFSE International School ensured that educators felt valued, motivated, and supported. A strong and connected team culture directly influences the learning experiences provided to students. When educators feel aligned and confident, they bring creativity, care, and consistency into the classroom.
