FamilySportsfest2022

September 24, 2022 marked the first face-to-face HFSE Family Sportsfest in almost three years. On that day, over 100 Happy Families gathered under the Bay East Bridge (Bay East Garden) for the whole day celebration themed “HFSEans Roar 7ogether: Fostering Harmony Amongst Happy Families”.

The day’s program was headed by hosts Ms Joy and Mr Ezzat, Opening Prayer was read by Kirby Dwynne Antolin (Blue Team) while the Oath of Sportsmanship was led by Gavin Theodore Robediso (Green Team).

Each family was assigned to one of four teams that represented HFSEan colors Blue, Yellow, Orange and Green. It was a fun-filled and exciting family experience where children with their families, classmates, and teachers participated in fun team games such as Big Volleybal, Basketball, Tug of War, Balloon Runner, Water Catching, Relay Race, and Blind Mouse. Parents and older children also participated in the Street Basketball and Volleyball friendly games.

The venue was filled with participants wearing their team’s vibrantly coloured shirts. Everyone showed competitiveness, sportsmanship, and camaraderie.

On that day, HFSE also crowned the first ever Mr HFSE – Keean Lucas Yusa (Yellow Team) and Ms HFSE – Stephanie Louise Banta (Green Team). All game winners received well-deserved medals while the winning teams overall were awarded trophies made of sweets, which they happily shared with each member of the team. Green Team took the championship this year powered by their outstanding performance in the cheering and relay competitions.

It was indeed one for the books! Congratulations to the whole community!
