What Is Pesta Sukan?

Pesta Sukan 2026 continues a longstanding sporting tradition in Singapore. Organised as part of Singapore’s sporting heritage, Pesta Sukan, which means “Festival of Sports” in Malay, was first held in 1964 to promote friendship, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among athletes. Furthermore, the event remains closely linked to Singapore’s National Day celebrations and continues to encourage sporting excellence.

Today, Pesta Sukan provides athletes of different ages and backgrounds with opportunities to compete, develop their talents, and celebrate sporting excellence. Moreover, it continues to bring communities together through sport and friendly competition.
