Glow-in-the-Dark Teambuilding Painting Session
HFSE International School valued strong teamwork and shared growth. Educators were at the centre of the school community. For this reason, the school continued to invest in staff connections and wellbeing.
The HAPI Dream Team came together earlier this year for HFSE Staff Development. This Staff Development Day focused on alignment, collaboration, and wellbeing. It gave educators time to pause, reflect, and step away from their daily routines. As a result, professional growth and stronger connections took place.
A Day Designed for Reflection and Growth
HFSE Staff Development provided a meaningful space for educators to reconnect with their purpose. It was not just a break from routine. Instead, it was a focused opportunity to align, recharge, and grow together as a team.
Shared Alignment Through the Morning Townhall Meeting
The day began with a morning townhall meeting. This session brought the HAPI Dream Team together in one shared space. Staff engaged in open discussion and reflection.
During this session, key priorities were shared. In addition, educators reflected on common goals and ongoing initiatives. Therefore, everyone remained aligned with the school’s direction.
Townhall meetings played an important role in HFSE Staff Development. They built trust, clarity, and confidence. Moreover, by encouraging open communication, the school strengthened collaboration across teams.
Creative Connection Through Painting at Scurro
Later in the day, the HAPI Dream Team took part in a Scuro Neon Painting session. This activity provided a vibrant and immersive creative experience. Staff worked in a darkened room under black light, where neon colours stood out brightly on every canvas.
The session was designed to be both individual and collaborative. Team members were divided into small groups of four. Each person created their own painting, expressing personal ideas, style, and creativity.
After completing their individual pieces, the group brought them together. The separate artworks combined into one larger image. As a result, each contribution became part of a unified final piece.
This process showed how different ideas can come together. It also highlighted the value of teamwork and collaboration. Every colour, style, and perspective played an important role in the final outcome.
The teams worked on creative themes such as the Haribon mascot, school-inspired scenes, and collaborative artwork. Each canvas reflected a unique voice, but together, they formed a complete and meaningful visual story.
The activity went beyond painting. It encouraged staff to trust the process, communicate with one another, and work towards a shared goal. As a result, the session strengthened both creativity and connection. Under the neon glow, the HAPI Dream Team created more than art. They created a shared experience that reflected unity, creativity, and the value of working together.
The Value of Investing in Staff Wellbeing
Staff wellbeing remained a key focus of HFSE Staff Development. When educators felt supported, they worked with greater confidence and care.
Teamwork was especially important. Strong staff relationships supported stable routines and clear communication. Therefore, young learners benefited from a calm and caring environment.
