8lessed and Aligned: A Day of Family, Fun, and Fellowship
At HFSE International School, we believe that strong families are the heart of a thriving community. That’s why this year’s event, 8lessed and Aligned: Uniting Happy Families with Love, Respect, and Discipline Through Sports, was nothing short of magical — a beautiful reminder of how laughter, teamwork, and a little friendly competition can bring us even closer together.
Held against the stunning backdrop of Bay East Bridge, the day was filled with energy, excitement, and heartfelt moments. Our HFSEan families — parents, students, teachers, and staff — all came together with one goal in mind: to celebrate gratitude, unity, and the blessings that weave us into one big family.
As the games kicked off, the spirit of sportsmanship lit up the field. Dads showed off their basketball skills, moms spiked and served with fierce determination in volleyball, and our students gave it their all in a series of thrilling events — from the classic Tug of War to the hilarious Balloon Runner and Blind Mouse games.
One of the biggest highlights? The Relay Races! Divided into age groups (and yes, even parents had their own heats), it was pure joy to watch everyone cheer each other on, running not just for victory but for the love of family. The Sack Race brought another round of laughter as our parents hopped their way to the finish line, proving once again that a playful heart keeps you young.
Throughout the day, you could feel the values of respect, teamwork, and perseverance in every high-five, every shout of encouragement, and every shared smile. It wasn’t just about winning — it was about showing up for each other, lifting each other up, and celebrating every moment together.
As the sun began to set over Bay East Bridge, hearts were full, memories were made, and the spirit of being 8lessed and Aligned shone brightly in every family present.
